The coffee, food and cookie was delicious. The cookie’s flavor was unique; sweet and salty! The cafe was so busy they were out of almost everything. The person who took my order was very sweet , she let me check to make sure I could grab a table before I paid; thank you.

The latte and raspberry muffin I had here was possibly the best latte and muffin I’ve ever had! The girl who took our order this morning was so helpful, and recommended me their seasonal latte flavor which was insanely good. Definitely recommend, I already want to go back!

Arrived on a Sunday morning around 8:10am (Harken opens at 8am) and there was a small line out the door - maybe around 4 or 5 groups ahead of us. Line moved quickly, worth the wait. Delicious freshly baked pastries - recommend the cheddar chive scone - ask to have it heated up and make sure to snag some of the honey butter!! As a baker myself I am picky about pastries - these exceeded expectations. Great coffee, cute interior with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating available. A must try in Charleston!

Service was fast! The drinks and food were incredible. I’m a guy with a big appetite and the sandwich was very filling. I was impressed the quality of the biscuit, the egg, and the added bacon (extra thick!!) Great aesthetic too. Top tier Cafe, absolutely.

Came here a couple times during my stay in Charleston. One of the best cafes in the area, coffee was great and so was the breakfast sandwich on their house made biscuit. I didn’t get any pastries but they looked outstanding. I believe they were using second state coffee beans when i went. Definitely add this to your list when you’re in the area!

This is a nice little gem hiding on a residential street in the historic area of Charleston. Open for breakfast and lunch and serving mostly pastries for breakfast and sandwiches and salads for lunch. Every thing we have had here has been excellent particularly the pastries. Coffees are smooth and there is a good selection of teas. There is counter service only, order when you come in the door, pick up your order and sit at small tables inside or larger tables out on the covered patio. Nice atmosphere, competent service and good food, so what’s not to like? Well it tends to be crowded and often a line to get in. Tables are small and seating is tight so not really a good place for kids unless you sit outside. Overall we give this cafe five Google stars or four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

Harken is one of my favorite places to grab a coffee and bite! It’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle on a residential street in the historic French Quarter in a classic Charleston building with earthy hues, warm woods, exposed brick and subtle Old World influence. It’s difficult to choose as you order next to the glass cabinet of pastries! I love the their matcha latte and Butter Me Up breakfast sandwich w/ Herby Cheese, Egg Souffle, Pickled Shallot on a housemade Ricotta Biscuit! 😋

Get the quiche with the side salad. Absolutly amazing. Grat balace of flavor, quiche is fluffy with a flaky crust and beautifumlly crisp top with the perfect balace of vegetables. As Anne Burrell used to say "brown food good!"

Great spot hidden in Charleston that I happen to come across while looking to grab a bite for breakfast. Cute little spot with limited seating indoor and out. Line was out the most of the time I was there. I waited about 20 minutes for my Wholy City Quiche to go….and worth the wait.

Everything here was darling and original. The line was out the door when we arrived but went quickly (we probably waited for ten min to order). There’s limited seating so I’d suggest anticipating this at peak times. We ordered two spiced vanilla lattes and they were PERFECT IMO (good espresso flavor and lightly sweetened). I loved that the pastries were all so unique. We got a Spinach Artichoke pastry and Sweet Potato Loaf that came with a raspberry compote and crème. It was more dense than we were expecting but SO delicious. I love the ambiance and vine wall on the patio. 10/10 recommend.
